I heard that sometimes monkeys are mean what about a chinchilla? I think dogs are always a good choice.

Monkeys do not make good pets. They may be cute and playful when younger, but as they grow older they can become very destructive and not nice to humans. They also need company of their own kind. The majority of monkeys which people get as "pets" are often abandoned for these reasons.

Also you should have 2 at one time i think but not necessary, coz as gliders are very social creatures they are active at night more than day time so they can company one another when you are not able.
