ok i keep seeing stuff on the we about "better hold on tight SPIDER MONKEY". and all kindsa things about it but SERIOUSLY, im confused. whats the big deal with him saying that. i mean is it bad that he said that. i really dont get it. why are people making it a big DEAL??? maybe its something i dont know about or whatnot. but please SOMEBODY fill me in!
There is no point. It’s just a random line in the moive. Personally, I just think the writer like that reference because Rosalie also makes a comment about Emmet being her "monkey-man" while they’re playing base ball.

edward calls bella spider monkey because spider monkeys hang on to things and when she is holding on tho his back when he is flying he tells her to hang on just like a spider monkey would do

Well, Spider Monkeys like to hang on things, and when Bella is on his back, he tells her "Hang on, Spider Monkey." I don’t know why this line has such signifigance, but it is what it is. =]
