One opinion: Monkey is symbol for "monkey see, monkey do."

So your waking subconscious, which becomes your dreaming conscious, is letting you know that lust is both perceived and projected by you. You’re blaming the someone, but the flip side is that your subconscious might be feeling some titillation about being exposed as a "sex object," but doesn’t care to say so.
