…that staqnds up straight…..not hunched over like a monkey …..after the human standing straight whats next because theres no way thats it….there has to be more……….if something changes ……it dosent just stop at acertain point

Please do not think you are learning anything at all about evolution from that image. It’s like looking at a cartoon of an apple falling on Newton’s head and thinking your learning about gravity.

The image you’re talking about is called the "March of Progress" image … and it is probably responsible for more misunderstandings about evolution than any other image.

Man did not evolve from monkeys. Man shares a common ancestor with the monkeys. The March of Progress image is a *SIMPLIFICATION* that just does not do justice to the *branching* nature of what evolution is really about.

:) Well we will never know since that is where we are right now. If/when we evolve, the picture will probably be added to, but for now its still recent.

humans have not really evolved yet. there are minor changes in the DNA but none that have been significant enough to branch a new, separate species. and that picture is misleading, because we did not "evolve from monkeys", we share a common ancestor and are closer in lineage to them than other species. BIG difference. All living things share a common ancestor when you go back far enough, like I said, we are just closer in lineage to chimps than any other living species.

First, it is an outdated, incorrect representation of evolution.

It goes by several names, such as "march of the hominids" or "parade of hominids".
