It guys like Sharpton who go around race baiting. When I first saw the cartoon I thought "yeah..Reid and Pelosi are stupid as monkeys". Apparently I was supposed to think Obama is a monkey for some racial reason.
The problem with Sharpton is that he sees the world EXACTLY as he sees himself… as total racist.
When Sharpton looks in the mirror, he see a chimp. This factor has clearly clouded his judgment of the said political cartoon.
Attention Al Sharpton, your village is missing it’s idiot. Please report to them as soon as possible…

Sharpton isn’t racist for questioning the motives of the cartoon. He certainly isn’t alone in making the claim. It was a stupid thing for the paper to do.

Yeah, had I seen the cartoon with Sharpton being involved I would have thought along the lines of the news story yesterday. In any case, it is a rather poorly thought out cartoon, the imagery is sort of nasty, but I agree, I thought that Congress wrote spending bills.

I really hate this cartoonist for making defend me Al Sharpton, but Sharpton is right this one time. I don’t know what sort of rock you have to live under not to know that ‘monkey’ is a well known derogatory term for black people. Seriously, the only way the cartoon could have been more offensive if the cop who shot the chimp used the N word as well.
There is no reasonable way to conclude that the cop was talking about anyone other than Obama.

I don’t think this is what makes Al Sharpton a racist. The cartoon is obviously racist.
Al Sharpton has a little credibility as Fox News.
Hearing Al Sharpton is the downside of the first amendment and many less people would be prejudice without his input.
