All nonhuman primates are banned in GA.

Exotic Animals

The animals listed below are examples of the exotic species regulated under Georgia Law. The Department should be consulted before any exotic animals which are not normally domesticated in Georgia are acquired. Hybrids or crosses between any combination of domestic animals, wildlife, or regulated wild animals and all subsequent generations are regulated in Georgia and may not be held without a license. The exotic species listed below, except where otherwise noted, may not be held as pets in Georgia. This list is not all inclusive.

Primates (monkeys, apes, etc.); all species
References :
http://georgiawildlife.dnr.state.ga.us/content/displaycontent.asp?txtDocument=6&txtPage=3

ooooo boy. You have no idea what your getting into do you. Monkeys require ALOT of care I mean ALOT of care. They can also be dangerous once they hit puberty. It is like taking a wild animal into your home, not a good idea.

this is what may happen:

here's some info:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmoset

I whold HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend NOT getting one. Sadly once these monekys grow up, the owners realize how much care they require so they ahve to get rid of them, and you never know where where they'll end up. IF you do get one, make sure you know the risks, and be prepared to have a 2 year old (with teeth!) for 15+ years
