i want 1 so i need to know, where i can get 1.how much they cost, and
oh yea what i need to get 1,like if i need papers or anything.
by the way i live in nj
and dont write anything if u dont know!
i have a dog. ive had him since i was 11- hes 6 now- but i want a monkey too!!.

Yes, you need papers, or else it will crap on the floor. You should change the papers every other day at minimum. Also remember that the diet of the squirrel monkey is very expensive, as they eat meat as a regular part of their diet.

Squirrel monkeys are actually very cheap, as they are viewed like rats in most areas of the world. Do not allow your squirrel monkey to get ahold of sharp objects or firearms.

Come to think of it, you’re better off with a nice little doggie. Everyone loves puppies.

Friends Squirrel Monkey to Wild ! Q : Should I adopt it ?

Posted by admin on November 10th, 2009 and filed under squirrel monkey | 2 Comments »

Recently my friend got a cute squirrel monkey like the ones that give you their hat to get change with the guy and the music box. Well on day the maid let the monkey out by accident while cleaning its cage. Anyway somehow it got into the nursery and bit a little bit off a piece of her toddlers finger.

Now because her baby finger will be slightly deformed she doesnt want the monkey and was going to put it down.
I want to adopt it, or at least find a zoo that might take it.

I dont think the monkey deserves death. What do u guys think
I saw a man who was in a wheelchair and his monkey helped him do everything except sex when his wifed left him. Answer the phone wash dishes etc,,,,,,,,,

Help I need your input

Are you sure it is a squirrel monkey, they are very tiny. That is not the kind an organ grinder uses. I had a squirrel monkey, and had to give it away. He was vicious, and would go out of the way to bite you. Maybe this one is different, but it will require a lot of time. Good luck. P.S., I could use a monkey that does dishes.

Is a squirrel a good pet for a monkey?

Like a squirrel and a monkey both can climb trees. So if the monkey is lazy it can get food!

Only if you want to see them fight and possibly kill one another.

This is really a personal thing. A squirrel monkey mom would say go for the squirrel and a cap mom would say go for the cap. You need to look up both breeds and decide whats best for you and your family.
I have capuchins and i wouldn’t trade them for the world. BUT its lots of work with any primate and YES a companion would be a good thing. With either breed. IF you have to leave them home for a few hours its a lot better for them to have a friend to stay with them. They can get very lonely and stress can kill them. GOOD LUCK with witch ever you chose.

I lost my wife and I wanna buy a squirrel monkey, where do you buy them, how much, are they mean etc etc?

This can’t be a serious question.

I had an uncle that had one for a short time and it bit the fool out of him.

I dislike primates as pets because they carry diseases that are communicable to humans.

In Illinois can you walk a pet squirrel monkey?

You know leashed and can you walk into an establishment (mall, store etc) Any info would be helpful maybe even a link to the law saying you can or cannot

All the nations will be assembled before him, and he will separate people one from another like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Kinkajou or Squirrel Monkey?

I’m either getting a squirrel monkey or a kinkajou. Both are legal in my state.Which one do you all reccomend?

I’ve had a squirrel monkey for almost 4 years now, her name is Mandy and shes just like a baby, she is not a toy and I definently dont consider monkeys pets, their just like kids and they need alot of attention especially when their babys even though squirrel monkeys stay small forever and mine still acts like a baby, its kinda expensive to own one, well not really but it does cost consistently, Mandy wears diapers and drinks baby milk, but the good thing about her is that she can eat anything a normal person eats, I give her my breakfast, lunch, and dinner when I have it, shes very picky about who she likes just like a person, squirrel monkeys can be trained to do almost anything, I never got to the part of training her to bring me the remote or anything b/c shes a part of my family and I’d never use her, but be sure that you have all the time in the world for a squirrel monkey, its nothing like a dog or cat it actually needs 24/7 attention you can not put it in the cage and leave it for hours on hours, for more help and info contact me at neeva07@yahoo.com

Ok so I’ve been wanting to purchase a monkey for my family and the spider, squirrel, and capuchin monkeys?

Posted by admin on October 24th, 2009 and filed under squirrel monkey | 5 Comments »

seem the most logical. everywhere I look to buy one it seems they are nothing more than scams. I’m well aware of the lifespan and responsibilities of owning a monkey and I am ready to buy one. I know they are expensive, but if someone can tell me where to buy one i’d appreciate it very much.

Do you have your CITES permit and Animal Care permits to own primates yet? Better get that settled.

PS-People who have the ability to be approved to own primates are the same people with enough sense to know not to own one. People who want to own them are almost never approved.
