How have we humans evolved from monkeys if monkeys still exist?

Posted by admin on January 18th, 2010 and filed under monkeys | 8 Comments »

I don’t believe in this evolution crap. it doesn’t make any sense. just because monkeys have similar characteristics as humans, it doesn’t mean anything.

Well if that’s the caliber of the reasons you have against evolution, then no wonder you think it’s "crap" while pretty much the entire scientific community disagrees with you.

Your argument makes NO LOGICAL SENSE!

If evolution was about every species *REPLACING* its ancestor … then logically there should be only ONE species alive on the planet!!

Since that is clearly not the case, then that’s clearly not what evolutions *says*!

Evolution says that one species can *SPLIT* and become two species that both go on to be separate branches in evolution.

Why does a species *split* into two species? Because populations get genetically isolated from each other all the time. If this isolation is for a long enough time, then they lose the ability to interbreed … hence new species … and two permanently separated branches in evolution.

Thus one branch can go on to become the ancestors of modern humans, and the other branch the ancestor of modern monkeys.

That’s why we do NOT say that "humans evolved from monkeys" … but that humans and monkeys share a common ancestor.

And it’s NOT just because they have "similar characteristics" … it’s about patterns in DNA, and proteins, and morphology, and embryology, and fossils, and biogeography, and many many other reasons.

It’s NOT that complicated!

But you have to be willing to actually TRY to understand the theory … instead of just rejecting something without any effort whatsoever of actually understanding it first.

The problem with Creationism is that it teaches you to think in *SIMPLISTIC* cartoonlike terms. That is why it teaches truly pathetic science understanding.

How much does it cost to buy or rent a couple of monkeys?

Posted by admin on December 24th, 2009 and filed under monkeys | 2 Comments »

My young lad’s sixth birthday is coming up next month and we’re throwing a party for him and all his little friends. He loves monkeys so we thought we’d get a couple to run around at the party (we’ve got a juggler and a clown booked too!)

He really likes the hairy brown one in the clint Eastwood movie. Does anyone know this make?

We were thinking of renting but I was saying to the wife that we could get a couple of the things and keep them around and dress them up with little outfits and train them to serve drinks at partys (we are quite a social family.) No one else I know has this! It would be great!

Just thought I’d check if anyone has costed this up before? Anyone know how long they last? Where’s the cheapest place to buy bananas?
Why’s it cruel!? Surely it would prefer living in a house to the jungle or dessert or wherever it is they come from, even if it is just in a cupboard or something.

My mate roger has a giraffe that he needs rid of quick. Its not a monkey and it is dead (recently passed on) but you know how much kids go for giraffes. Anyway, let me know if you’re interrested and I’ll get him to dump it in your garden, he’ll be well chuffed.

I always see people saying that we did not evolve from monkeys but we share a common ancestor. What is this common ancestor?
GetMoZing here is a bit of info you are probably not aware of.

Barbary ape: A tailless monkey (Macaca sylvana) of Gibraltar and northern Africa. Also called magot.

Carpolestes simpsoni, one of the plesiadapiforms predates the subdivision of the primates.

Proconsul is the common form prior to the division between Old World monkeys and apes.

What are "sea monkeys" and why do they never look like they do in the pictures?

Posted by admin on December 19th, 2009 and filed under monkeys | 3 Comments »

I have sent many times for the "sea monkeys" that are advertised in the comic books. According to the illustration, they appear to be part human, part fish. They even built their own houses and play guitars as well as many things that one would not expect from an aquatic animal. Nevertheless, whenever I received them and followed the instructions, they hatched into a rather primitive looking creatures that looked nothing like the illustrations, and appeared much too stupid to build a house of any kind. Thinking that they might need company, I dumped them into my fish tank at which time they were immediately eaten by the fish. I thought that if some of the sea monkeys played their guitars, that the music would placate the fish. Well I never even saw a little guitar before they were devoured by my angel fish. Now I feel terribly guilty due to my error. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong and what I can do to prevent similar tragidies in the future

Funny!!!

Sea Monkeys are Brine Shrimp and are really good for a growing fish.

How can I get drink serving monkeys or chimps at my wedding?

Posted by admin on December 6th, 2009 and filed under monkeys | 6 Comments »

I’m getting married next year and I want to have monkeys or chimps to serve the free beer and wine that we are providing to our guests. I think chimpanzees are smarter and will do a better job, but monkeys have tails and I was hoping that they could use their tails to serve as well.

I am 100% sure that’s not possible at all what so ever, and would probably be considered animal abuse.

How to get rid of Monkeys from our farm without hurting them??

Posted by admin on November 29th, 2009 and filed under monkeys | 12 Comments »

We don’t want to hurt or kill monkeys who have been troublesome for the past many years. They are not afraid of dogs or any sound. They come in group and enter our farm and eat fruits.

borrow some traps from your local zoo

Or buy Lion manure from your local Zoo…
It will fertilise you plants and the smell scares small creatures
