I have a border of monkey grass that keeps sprouting new and spreading. I want to dig it up and plant flowers instead. Any tips on how to remove completely? Is it just a matter of digging it up from the root?

Spray RoundUp on it. RoundUp goes through the leaves, down the stems and into the roots to kill the whole plant. You might have to wait a week and then spray it again. The hotter the weather, the faster it will work. After you have removed the dead plants, you might see a few start growing again. Take a paint brush of cotton swab and brush RoundUp on them. Using this method will keep the RoundUp off your other flowers.

You cant. As far as I’m aware you can only have "non-threatened Australian" animals unless your a zoo. Of course there are a few exceptions but not many. Most need a license too but their easy to get.

i agree with the last poster… you may think they are cute and cuddly but they arent DOMESTIC animals… like dogs. but these animals should stay in the wild or in Proper Environments… too many think that having a monkey or a wild animal is easy but it isnt. they are just that wild animals they can be nice one moment and become aggressive the next. please dont Provoke the trade of wild animals most of these wild pets are taken from their natural environment. i can understand if they were abandoned babies… but i still dont recommend them as pets.

well the first thing you should know is that primates of any kind cost a lot of money. Marm’s run around 2000+ all the way up to capuchins that run around 8000+. So if your not ready to spend that kind of money you don’t need one, because that is just to buy one that don’t count taking proper care of it.
Also I would figure out what kind of primate you want, and start reading up on that breed so you know how to take care of it. Each breed is very different and there for need different kinds of care.
Also if you work a lot you don’t need a primate unless you can provide it with a mate and even then they STILL have to be with you pretty much all the time. Unless you are just wanting something pretty to keep in a cage to look at.(and if that’s what you want get a bird) Because if you don’t handle them at lot then they will get to where you CANT handle them.
Primates take a lot of work, money and time to keep them healthy and happy. And know that they can live a LONG time, some up to 40+ years. Can you provide for a monkey for the next 40 years, giving it what it needs and putting its needs before your own? If not don’t get one, it wont work out anyway’s and you will end up resaleing it.
Now with all this being said, Having a primate as a pet is a wonderful thing IF and ONLY IF you are willing to put in the time and money and work.

My family was watching The Phantom of the Opera and we couldn’t figure out why the husband to Christine, Raul, would put the monkey on Christine’s grave. Because we thought it symbolizes the lack of freedom and deception. So i was wondering what was the symbolism of the Monkey playing the symbols?

A big part of that scene (which, I might add, was never part of the original Broadway production or the novel that inspired it) is the recurring theme that no matter how much Christine fought for her freedom, the Phantom was always a part of her life. Even after she and Raoul made their escape and married, Raoul tells us that "she often spoke" of the music box with the monkey on top. Even though she was free, even though she ended up marrying a man she loved, she never really completely let go of the Phantom. By placing the music box on her grave, Raoul was acknowledging this, and perhaps even finding some closure with it.

As a side note… it’s interesting that the Phantom himself left a rose and the ring he once tried to give Christine on her grave before Raoul even got there with the music box. The Phantom always was one step ahead.

My son is about to have his 1st birthday party on July 6th. We will be doing a really cute monkey theme. For his present I was thinking about making a little stuffed monkey. But I don’t know how to sew nor do I know how to make a stuffed monkey. Any ideas?

I have a nintendo wii and I just recently found out I can play the Gamecube version of Super Monkey Balls on the wii using the game disc and controllers. I love playing billiards with the monkeys but I think the monkeys ( MeeMee) in particular are swearing when they bounce off the cushions of the pool table. Does anyone know if she is swearing or not? The age rating on the front cover says 3+ and surely there shouldnt be any swearing in a childrens game.
