My boyfriend’s sister fell off the monkey bars at school and hit her head. She passed out. All she remembers is waking up and her teacher helping her up off the ground. The teacher then sat down and told her to go wash off. She never took her to the nurse. She then came back and asked if she could go to the nurse and the teacher allowed her to go. She asked the teahcer where was the nurse at. The first time the nurse was at lunch. The teacher and the teacher told her to go play. She sat down with her hands on her head and crying. After they went back to class, she asked 3 more times to go to the nurse The teacher finally sent her back to the nurse and the nurse gave her an ice pack and sent her back to class. The nurse did not allow her to call home. She did not think she was sick. When she got home her eyes were dialated and her mother took her to the er. At the er they told her she had a concussion. Her mother wants info on school safety laws.
It is shocking what goes on in the schools, isn’t it?
I sincerily hope she is OK and she got treated for the concussion. Brain injuries can be serious, even after the fact. You should read up on brain trauma and concussion.
I don’t know if I have a good answer for you about how to handle what happened but maybe you can get some help from the below links…
I need any evidence that scientists use that suggest how long ago New World monkeys diverged from other animals. help please!
If you go to google search and do a google search for "New World Monkeys" you will get a ton of sites. You can also type in words like "history" or "diverged" and get even more sites.
My favorite animal is the Tamarin Monkey. They are not mentioned very much in books etc. but they are so cute. Where can I find info about them? (simple stuff, like a profile)
MS Encarta has info on the Tamarin Monkey.
The tamarins are any of the squirrel-sized New World monkeys from the family Cebidae, classified as the genus Saguinus. The closely related lion tamarins are in genus Leontopithecus.
Tamarin habitats range from southern Central America (Costa Rica) through middle South America (Amazon basin and north Bolivia, however not in the mountainous parts).
The various species of tamarins differ considerably according to their appearance, ranging from nearly all black through mixtures of black, brown and white. Many species typically have mustache-like facial hairs. Their body size ranges from 18 to 30 cm (plus a 25 to 44 cm long tail) and they weigh from 220 to 900 grams. Tamarins differ from marmosets primarily in the fact that the lower canine teeth are clearly longer than the incisors.
Tamarins are inhabitants of tropical rain forests and open forest areas. They are diurnal and arboreal, that run and jump quickly through the trees. Tamarins live together in groups of up to 40 members consisting of one or more families. More frequently, though, groups are composed of just three to nine members.
Tamarins are omnivores, eating fruits and other plant parts as well as spiders, insects, small vertebrates and bird eggs.
Gestation is typically 140 days, and births are normally twins. The father primarily cares for the young, bringing them to their mother to nurse. After approximately one month the young begin to eat solid food, although they aren’t fully weaned for another two to three months. They reach full maturity in their second year.
In captivity, tamarins live to be 18 years old.

Any information about who made it or anything would be appriciated.
Anybody have a web site for club so I can order?
Heublein went out of business about 10 years ago. The only Brass Monkey RTD (ready to drink) currently sold is by The Club Cocktails owned by Diageo and is available widely. It comes in a 200 ml can or 750ml bottle and can only be sold by stores that have a liquor license…not just a beer and wine. It is 32 proof and made with rum, vodka, and natural flavors (mostly orange.) Retail ranges from $6 – $9.99
cheers.
AS FOR WEB ORDERING…
What state do you live in? I do not believe liquor can be ordered by web as of yet. They are still fighting ordering wine in some states (as if teenagers are trying to order a fine cabernet or pinot for a party.) I know my company distributes club in at least 20 states and the company that makes club, Diageo, is the largest distributor in the USA. If you are in the US and in a control state, you can find Club in your state liquor store…if you are in a state with three tier distribution you can check you local liquor store. Club is usually in the cold box displayed with the RTD cocktails, wine 187mls and wine coolers.
Let me know if you need more help.

Life, through a sight glass
Prepared, stylized, perfected
Controlled experiment
Organized information
Logical outcome
When I, under a quiet autumn moon
Spied a vision of beauty beyond belief
In her sleep, with the golden leaves falling
I laid next to her and stared at the sky
Love, through a looking glass
Pretentious, stubborn, perfect
Uncontrolled excitement
Organ grinder’s monkey
Illogical outcry

Monkey drum or Damroo
You can read something about it in the book "Percussioni" by Guido Facchin, EDT, Torino.. I have it.. And I have a scanner too..
I am looking to buy a monkey as a present for my sister. If anyone has any information I would be very thankful
First of all, depending on where you live, monkeys are probably illegal to own as a pet. If that’s the case, you won’t even be able to get it into the state. Secondly, monkeys are wild animals and don’t make very good pets, unless you are willing to clean up the incredible mess that they WILL make. All the time. Do you know of a vet near you that would be willing to treat the monkey if it got sick? Also, I hope this isn’t intended as a surprise for your sister. Live animals should never be given as pets unless the receiving party knows and wants the animal. It’s not fair to the animal.
