I live in MO, and im looking for a marmoset monkey ****CHEAP**** ive been searching online and their like 200$, so i was hoping to find one that cheap. maybe…. but are there any sites where i can get cheap marmosets? i know how to care for one, and im looking for two, so the other wont be lonely.

Monkeys for sale and ownership have been banned in the USA ever since the woman from Connecticut was attacked and her face ripped off.
They are wold animals leave them be wild.

I have been wanting a pet monkey and I want to know which is less aggressive after puberty, train, etc. Plz help me lol.

There is no such thing as an adult monkey that dose not turn aggressive. please please please! don’t get a monkey even the smallest one can cause severe damage to you or your Friends… don’t be another news story…

i need to know a breeder for this specific type of monkey that is locater in illinois or close to illinois.

Check ur wildlife and game for permits or if its even legal.

Monkeys take a lot of work.

There schedule: I wake up at 11 am, make they breakfast(yogurt, marmoset diet, special low iron formula), I eat, take them to monkey proof room which includesa kitty condo, ropes, wood trees, a tv and chairs for me, I do some virtual school, feed them again at 3 pm(fruits like kiwi,apple,etc), then we chill I finger wrestle them, they lick up my nose which kills after a while, I feed again at 7 pm(plain noodles and hard boiled egg) then my mom comes home to give me a break, I feed them again at 10:30(same as breakfast) then at 11 they know its bed time and go to there cages which are full of hammock, ropes etc. If its warm and sunny I will take them for walks, they need sunlight or uvb light for Atleast an hour a day so there bones are healthy. I change there diapers every 30-60 mins. They get mealworms 3 times a week and get 15 worms each. In the wild they chew trees to get SAP so be prepares for ur wood furniture and doors to get chewed. As babies they need around the clock care. Feedings every 2-4 hours, heating pad, and to be held a lot for bonding.

pygmy marmosets are rare so cheapest is $5,500.

marmosets are $1,500-$2,000.
they need a whole diet marmoset chow, fruits, veggies.
sunlight for an 1 hour.
proper enclosures.
youll be spending $20 a month on mini pads for their special made diapers from sewsimplymonkey, fruits, veggies.
cages range from $200-$1000. they need atleast 4ft/5ft/5ft cages, tons of toys.
you need a special vet that works with monks not just dogs, a visit can be a whole $200!
dont vacine them cause they will die. both sexes need to be fixed so look at about $650.
they need to be out and playing with you for atleast 5 hours a day.

I don’t even think that is legal. You would have to contact wildlife officials in both states

Why does my marmoset Monkey bite?

I have a two-year old marmoset that I raised from a baby. In the last two months she has started biting our feet, nowhere else, just feet. Can any one tell me why?

1. You said you raised her from a baby. That’s your first problem. Human-reared monkeys are psychologically effed up.

2. Almost ALL monkeys bite, and viciously. She has probably just hit sexual maturity thus the reason for the change.

3. Most likely you are keeping her incorrectly if you got her from someone who let you have her when she should have still been with her mother. Lets guess, indoors, little access to natural UV light necessary for her health, living in a parrot cage or running loose around your house, no other monkeys for company? Marmosets might be cute, they might be little but getting things RIGHT for them is next to impossible. This is why they don’t make good pets, because they become aggressive.

Well done on incorrectly raising your wild animal. I would quite happily steal your marm off you and give her to a sanctuary where she would be looked after properly.
