I live in TN, and I did tried to look up the law about exotic animals and it appears that it has been illegal to own, sell, buy, import etc. an exotic animal.

I thought about the Memphis Zoo?

Call the local humane society, they will advise you on whom to call, or handle it themselves.

   I too live in TN. You should call your local Animal Shelter and they should be able to help you.

   If it is legal to sell in your area, unless you can prove that she is abusing the animal there isn’t much you can do.
