And, where can you get them in Australia?
Thanks.
Even though I don’t know where to find them in Australia, I think that a Capuchin Monkey may be a good Idea for a pet, because they are so small and easy to handle. You might have to figure out what it eats though.

Monkeys are not pets they are a wild animal and can get aggresive, especially when they reach sexual maturity, most places it is illeagal to own one i would check the regs on it.
If that animal where to bite someone you could be looking at a lawsuit plus the animal will get destroyed
not fair!

Yeah. You should definitely get one if:
-you like getting your house pissed and shat all over
-you like getting household items and poop thrown at you
-you don’t mind ripped up work papers, clothing and furniture
-you want your house to smell like ass
-you like giving a cranky monkey a bath
-you like getting bitten, scratched and slapped
-you like monkeys

No, because they are only cute when little and when they get bigger they get stronger. Besides they live VERY long, do you think you will still want that monkey in 50 years or so when your older and don’t have a lot of energy because they are very energetic. Also, since they are intelligent, they will get in A LOT of mischief if not given an activity to do 24/7 (except when sleeping). I don’t think you should… =(
And about you Australia question:
You have to have a zoo or circus permit otherwise, it’s illegal.

Hi there
I have 4 pet monkeys.
3 Cotton top tamarins, and a White Faced Female Capuchin monkey.
First of all…I would like to say that a monkey…is TOTALLY different than an Ape.
That was an APE NOT a monkey that ripped that girls face off.
Chimpanzees weigh up to 200 pounds, and my cotton top tamarins weigh 1-2 pounds, and my capuchin is 4 pounds.
The damage that a monkey can do if it "attacked" you, is far less than if an Ape attacked you.
I would personally NEVER own an Ape as a pet.
Capuchin monkeys can make great in home companions IF they are raised correctly, and are properly trained and socialized from a young age.
I love my monkeys and I would never recommend one of them to just anyone, as they are a big responsibility and should never be bought on a whim.
I put a LOT of time into my monkeys, and I love every minute of it. But it is very similar to raising a child, and when they grow up they do not move out. You WILL be changing their diapers for their entire lives, and you will have to deal with their natural behaviors.
Ultimately it is your decision on whether you should get a capuchin monkey as a pet or not.
I think that right now, it is the best time for you to just research, research, RESEARCH!.
lol
Then you can decide if you want one.
Please make the right choice, and remember.
As soon as that monkey comes into your home, you are responsible for taking care of it and raising it the right way.
