Can I get a Capuchin Monkey in Ontario or is it illegal?

So I wanna get a monkey!
Or a rat ..
Which one?

Currently, Ontario leaves it up to municipalities to decide whether to ban or regulate exotic animals. However, since the tiger incident, Ontario is currently reviewing its laws.

Monkeys require special diets, special vet care, a proper enclosure, and lots of enrichment. They are a huge commitment. If you are not ready for such a commitment, then I would recommend a rat instead.

if people r telling u that capuchin monkeys still exist the don’t they went extinct about 30 to 40 years ago the only way that they could be alive is that some one keep two and mated them and they kept breeding them until now

monkeys/apes are NOT pets. They are highly intelligent and actually they have killed their owners in the past or they get bored and have other issues.
Rats make great pets but thye can harbor diseases…. They are very loving and they do need regular time spent with them as well as cleaning. I used to give mine baths since they like to swim. I just offered a place for them to be out of the water….
Also might I add I can care less if the specific monkey is small cute and cudly. It does not belong as a pet its a wild animal. People need to stop tring to domesticate wild animals that need to return to the WILD!
