The sock monkey in the commercial is so funny, I want to drive with it on to scare people and for a joke on my friends lol. Where can I get one that looks very realistic? Cost is no factor.

Thanks.

i am ganna get a pet pygmy marmoset monkey. so what should i name him/her. im leaning toward a her because male monkeys usually play with there disco sticks. an i dont wanna monkey … juice… all over my house or his cage. so what would you name her ? uni-sex names would be best

I dont think you should get a marmoset or any kind of monkey. They are not good pets, no matter how small.

Does anyone know if Marmoset monkeys are allowed as pets in Lake County IL or Chicago?

Im looking to get a monkey and i know people around me have them, but i want too make sure that it is ok to have one cause i know a lot of people around here do things and have things they shouldn’t…
PLEASE DON’T ANSWER IF UR NOT SERIOUS I REALLY WANT AN ANSWER TO THIS ??? AND NOT A LINK TO BUY SHOES

Right, I am being serious.
Do you want to be labelled as cruel, selfish and ignorant? If you do, go ahead and get a Marmoset. You are sentencing it to a lonely life shut in a small area, because as they reach sexual maturity they will become vicious and bite as well as being very destructive and not care where it goes to the toilet.
Of course, you can always put nappies on it but as monkeys were not meant to wear nappies it wil probably rip them off.

These creatures are not pets, they are animals that should be in groups not solitary.

Call your local council to see if it is legal if you want to be selfish and add to the mental and physical detriment of a marmoset.

What kind of accent would a spider monkey have if it could talk?

What animals share the same or live in the same habitat as the Douroucouli Monkey aka "Owl Monkey"?

Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010 and filed under monkey pictures | 1 Comment »

Well My 6 year old is doing a mini project in science and they have to draw an ecosystem of the organism of their choice. My daughter choose the Douroucouli Monkey and so far she only has drawn pictures of the monkey, some trees, grass, but were not sure what organisms live in the same habitat as the little guy. Can anyone please help and maybe if you have a little more facts about the animal would be really nice. Thanks!

They come from south America regions and share habitat with many animals.
Kinkajous, Macaws, Amazon parrots, Anteaters, boas, anacondas, a variety of specialized butterflies, dart frogs, etc.

capuchin monkey gets ringworm can you use cream meant for humans?

Posted by admin on March 7th, 2010 and filed under capuchin monkey | 3 Comments »

I happen to know someone who has a Capuchin monkey and it has come down with ring worm I can get a script from the Dr. for a anti-fungi cream that humans use. Is it safe to use it on the Capuchin??

Their system is a lot like humans, but also very different in many ways. Some things safe for us are not safe for them. I would HIGHLY advise them to see an exotic vet. This website also has alot of information on health concerns regarding monkeys. You may be able to find a more informative answer here. They also have a list of primate vets within the US. You can also contact the owner of the website via email with detailed questions. Good luck www.TheMonkeyz.com

Calling all Twilight fans. What lake is in the background of the ’spider monkey scene’?

Posted by admin on March 7th, 2010 and filed under spider monkey | 2 Comments »

I have been googling this everywhere and cannot find it. So is the lake in the background of this scene and I think several other scenes the same as the one from harry potter. I have been told this was so, but I do not believe it. What is the answer.

I think it is the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It is north of Forks, WA. It is the boarder between the USA and Canada.

Any ideas for an attention grabber for a speech about the Spider Monkey?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under spider monkey | 1 Comment »

So I have to give a 4-6 minute speech & I picked the Spider Monkey, but the teacher’s really critical about the attention grabber, like if you don’t have one he takes off points. & i suckk at stuff like that.. so any ideas? it has to be like atleast 30 seconds long. just as long as its not a rhetorical question.
thanks!

There are giant black, furry spiders hanging from the trees in the Amazon forest in South America! Run for your lives! No, wait, it’s just a black spider monkey. When it uses all four limbs, and it’s body-length tail to hang from a tree, a spider monkey looks like a giant spider.
